University of Pittsburgh scientists have developed a fluorescent substance that can detect presence of harmful ozone in body and air. Harmful ozone can be a pollutant and can be irritating to the lungs. The researchers have said that the substance glows bright green when it comes in contact with even small amounts of ozone in the air and in human lung cells.
